2025 WeldWerks Invitational Festival Code of Conduct
Please immediately alert a WeldWerks Invitational Festival staff member if you believe you’ve observed or experienced a violation of this Code of Conduct. Our team will work to assess the situation and respond as soon as possible.
We at WeldWerks feel a responsibility to ensure the comfort and safety of every single individual involved in the fest, and so we have created the following Code of Conduct that every single participant. We want nothing but fun, relaxation, and fellowship throughout the entire weekend, and this is one small way of helping to guarantee that for everyone.
All WIF participants, defined as staff, brewers, volunteers, attendees, sponsors, and other representatives, must:
- Treat all individuals and groups respectfully, recognizing their human dignity, regardless of their diverse human characteristics.
- Contribute to a positive environment that is free of hostile and offensive behaviors in any form, i.e. free of harassment. Harassment is not necessarily sexual although it may be.
- Take proactive steps to prevent and stop such behavior. It is not sufficient for participants to merely refrain from engaging in this type of behavior.
- Speak out without fear of retaliation when the actions of others violate the rights of any individuals or groups. Participants who engage in retaliation against those who speak out against harassment are equally as culpable as those who engage in harassment.
- Respect the opinions of others and address conflicts positively and constructively.
- Treat all individuals and groups professionally and respect their personal property.
All event participants agree to abide by this Code of Conduct as a condition to participate in the WIF. WIF may take action in its discretion to address any individual(s) or group(s) it believes fail to meet the standards outlined in this Code of Conduct, including, without limitation, revoking the violating parties’ credentials without refund.
Responsible Alcohol Consumption
- In consuming alcoholic beverages, participants must adhere to principles of responsible consumption.
- Participants must protect the reputation of both the WIF and the brewing industry generally by taking steps to ensure no member, including themselves, will break any laws in the process of sharing or consuming alcoholic beverages in association with WIF.
- Should any participants consume more than a reasonable amount of alcohol and either are or appear to be incapable of functioning, either legally or appropriately, WIF participants accept their duty to act to keep those impaired members from breaking any laws and from harming themselves or others.
Reporting
